Enigma cubensis is perhaps the most interesting psilocybe cubensis mushroom variety, and also perhaps the most potent. Results from the recent Cubensis Cup held in Oakland, CA showed that Enigma-like mutations contained 3.00-3.82% tryptamine content (by comparison the average psilocybe cubensis mushroom contains between 0.6-0.8% tryptamine content). Enigma-like mutations ranked both first and second place in the inaugural Psilocybin Cup. We have tested this specific Enigma genetic using the?PSILO-Q Test kit, the first ever home-use quantitative psilocybin testing kit. Results show that this variety contains well over 2% tryptamine content (the maximum shown on the PSILO-Q test).

Enigma is a mutation of B+ Cubensis, and like all other Enigma/Brain Coral mutations it possesses aesthetic characteristics significantly different from a traditional mushroom. It grows in a dense brain-like blob of mycelial matter, takes significantly longer to grow than traditional mushrooms, and is exceptionally potent.
